Privacy Policy
Last Updated: January 15, 2025
At pwrflashup, we're committed to protecting your personal information. This isn't just legal boilerplate—we actually care about how your data is handled.
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We've written it in plain language because privacy matters, and you shouldn't need a law degree to understand what happens with your information.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
When you sign up for our blockchain UX programs or reach out through our contact forms, we collect what you choose to share with us:
- Name and contact details (email, phone number)
 - Educational background and professional experience
 - Learning goals and program preferences
 - Payment information (processed through secure third-party providers)
 - Communication history with our team

Automatic Collection
Like most websites, we collect some technical information automatically. This helps us improve your experience and keep our systems running smoothly:
- Device and browser information
 - IP address and general location (city level, not your exact address)
 - Pages you visit and how you interact with our content
 - Referral sources (how you found us)

Note for Taiwan users: We comply with Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Your personal data is processed in accordance with local regulations, and you have specific rights under Taiwan law that we explain below.
How We Use Your Information
We're selective about how we use your data. Here's what we actually do with it:
| Purpose | What This Means |
|---|---|
| Program Delivery | Enrolling you in courses, sending learning materials, tracking progress |
| Communication | Answering questions, sending updates about your courses, program changes |
| Improvement | Understanding how people use our site to make it better |
| Legal Compliance | Meeting Taiwan regulations and maintaining accurate records |
We don't sell your information. Period. We're not in that business, and we never will be.
Data Sharing and Third Parties
Sometimes we need to share information with partners who help us run our programs. But we're careful about who gets access:
Service Providers We Work With
- Payment processors: Handle transactions securely (they never see your full card details)
 - Email platforms: Help us send course updates and communications
 - Learning management systems: Host our course content and track your progress
 - Analytics tools: Show us how people use our site (in aggregate, not individual tracking)

All these partners are contractually required to protect your data and can only use it for the specific services they provide to us.
What we DON'T do: We don't share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or random third parties. If someone wants your data for their own purposes, we say no.
Your Rights and Control
Your data belongs to you. Under Taiwan's PDPA and our own principles, you have real control over what happens with your information.
Access Your Data
Request a copy of all personal information we hold about you. We'll provide it in a readable format within 30 days.
Correction Rights
Found something wrong? Tell us, and we'll fix it. You can update most information directly in your account settings.
Delete Your Information
Want us to remove your data? We'll do it, unless we're legally required to keep certain records.
Stop Processing
You can ask us to stop using your data for specific purposes, like marketing communications.
Data Portability
Get your data in a format you can take elsewhere. We're not in the business of locking you in.
Object to Processing
Disagree with how we're using your data? You have the right to challenge it.
How to Exercise These Rights
Send us an email at info@pwrflashup.com with your request. We'll verify your identity and respond within 15 business days. If we need more time, we'll let you know why.
Data Security Measures
Keeping your information safe is something we take seriously. Here's what we do:
- Encryption: All data transmission uses industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption. Your information is encrypted both in transit and at rest.
 - Access Controls: Only team members who need access to do their jobs can see your personal information. Everyone signs confidentiality agreements.
 - Regular Audits: We review our security practices quarterly and update them based on new threats.
 - Secure Servers: Our data is stored on servers with physical and digital security measures in Taiwan and internationally recognized data centers.
 - Incident Response: If something goes wrong, we have a plan to respond quickly and notify affected users within 72 hours as required by law.

No system is perfectly secure, but we do everything reasonably possible to protect your information.
Data Retention
We don't keep your information longer than necessary. Here's our approach:
Active Users
While you're enrolled in programs or actively using our services, we keep your information accessible and up-to-date.
After Program Completion
Course records and certificates are retained for 7 years to verify your credentials if needed. This is standard practice in educational institutions.
Inactive Accounts
If you haven't logged in for 3 years and haven't enrolled in programs, we'll send reminders before archiving or deleting your account data.
Legal Requirements
Some information must be kept for tax and legal purposes—typically financial records for 5-7 years under Taiwan regulations.
You can always request earlier deletion by contacting us directly.
International Data Transfers
Our primary operations are in Taiwan, but some of our service providers operate globally. When your data crosses borders, we ensure it's protected:
- We only work with providers who meet international data protection standards
 - Contracts include specific clauses about data protection and Taiwan law compliance
 - Data transferred outside Taiwan receives equivalent protection to what it gets here
 - You can request details about where your specific data is stored

Most student data stays within Taiwan or in data centers that meet Taiwan's security requirements.
Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies—small files stored on your device—to make the site work properly. Here's what's happening:
Essential Cookies
These keep you logged in and remember your preferences. The site won't work properly without them.
Analytics Cookies
Help us understand which pages are popular and where people get stuck. We use this to improve navigation and content.
What We Don't Do
No advertising cookies. No tracking pixels from social media companies. No selling cookie data to third parties.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features might not work as smoothly.
Children's Privacy
Our programs are designed for adults pursuing professional development. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 without parental consent.
If you're under 18 and interested in our programs, we'll need to involve a parent or guardian in the enrollment process. This protects both you and us.
Changes to This Policy
Privacy regulations and our practices evolve. When we update this policy, we'll:
- Post the new version with an updated date
 - Email active users about significant changes
 - Give you time to review before major changes take effect
 - Keep previous versions available on request

Check back occasionally. We'll never make changes that reduce your rights without giving you notice and options.
Complaints and Disputes
If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, here's what you can do:
- Contact us first: Email info@pwrflashup.com with your concern. We'll investigate and respond within 15 business days.
 - Escalate internally: If you're not satisfied, ask to speak with our privacy officer.
 - External complaint: You can file a complaint with Taiwan's National Development Council or other relevant authorities.
 - Legal action: You always retain your right to pursue legal remedies under Taiwan law.

We prefer to resolve issues directly. Most concerns can be addressed through conversation.
Questions About Privacy?
Seriously, if anything here is unclear or you have concerns, reach out. Privacy shouldn't be mysterious.
